TFT-displays manufactured by Winstar: general information
The Winstar manufactured a wide line of TFT-displays for integration into various electronic equipment. Products range by the screen diagonal size: from 3.5 to 12.1 inches. Mainly Winstar displays are used in industrial and in commercial appendices, respectively they pass certification on compliance to requirements of application in the industrial environment. Standard applications: automation equipment and monitoring, GPS navigation, medical equipment, POS systems, and also coffee machines, cash registers, etc.
Basic product lines are displays on the controller board of the Q and P Series. These displays are equipped with resistive or capacitive touch panels and widely used in interactive appendices. The traditional line of TFT-displays and high-intensity displays
The traditional line of Winstar TFT-displays includes models with screen sizes from 3.5 to 12.1 inches with a standard brightness of 300 ~ 500 nits, and operating temperature range from -20 ° to + 70 ° C. In those applications where for the external reasons basic brightness is insufficient, Winstar option offers high-intensity displays from 800 to 1000 nit. The O-Film series of TFT-displays with an expanded viewing angle
In the market there are many technologies of expansion of a viewing angle of TFT displays, for example the MVA or IPS technologies. On their background the O-Film TFT technology has considerable advantage in value terms and adapted for application in production of an industrial and commercial class that you won't tell about other technologies developed for the user electronics. Monochrome TFT module
Monochrome Winstar TFT modules are characterized by the fine clearness, contrast and lack of color impregnations, including against STN displays and DFSTN displays. Displays with the excellent permission and an expanded viewing angle are equipped with interfaces for multiple useswith standard microcontrollers. Importantly, that monochrome displays have very attractive price which makes them the best choice for applications that do not require a full color image.
Monochrome TFT-displays have high contrast (800:1 or 900:1) and fast response time.Depending on settings, the display reproduces 2, 4 or 16 gradation of the gray. The display is controlled by three or four channel serial interface or via an 8-bit parallel interface by standard controllers’ architecture 8080 or 6800. Q-Series Control Board TFT-displays
One of the most demanded products in the market. These displays are integrated with controller board SSD1963 and have a 36-pin connector to connect the loop. Control is exercised by means of the 8/16-bit parallel interface. Contacts 33-36 sockets are reserved for power of illumination of the screen, i.e. the developer doesn't have need to think of separate power-supply circuits of illumination. Backlight driver circuit is built. Also functions of control of the display and controls of the touch panel are integrated into a uniform loop. Displays of a Q-series support the Solomon SSD1963 controller, traditional for control of displays. All displays of a series are equipped with the resistive or capacitor touch panel.
P-Series Control Board TFT-displays
P-Series of TFT-displays is completely identical to a Q-Series. Difference in unification for application with RA8875 controllers. The use of alternative controllers enables functional extensions, for example, support for Chinese characters, BL adjustment, and others.
M-Series TFT-displays («Clever System»)
This series includes advanced control board that supports the management interface which supports control interfaces of the RS232 and SPI indicator, backlight brightness control, the PWM output signal is available and supported by 4 control buttons. In addition, the control board is contained SRAM memory storage capabilities and FLASH frame memory for storing image files.
The use of indicators M-series allows the user to quickly implement a project using a simple microcontroller, for example, from STM8 series. Also the producer provides examples of programs of work with indicators for fast developmentis contained SRAM memory storage capabilities and FLASH frame memory for storing image files.
The main advantages of the new series of indicators against previous P and Q-series is that they allow to reduce the number of lines for the control indicator, have possibility of realization of finished display system information and control at the expense of support for touch panels and buttons, the memory allows for graphical and text modes.
